¿Cómo construye Jacques Rancière un pensamiento democrático de la política, a partir de su crítica al marxismo como una “metapolítica”? Desarrollaré la hipótesis de que Rancière reconfigura el sujeto político marxista a través de una desvinculación con su metapolítica para pensarlo más bien en términos de un exceso impropio así como intempestividad y fuerza de olvido. Trataré entonces de definir cómo Rancière repiensa los conceptos de tiempo y de saber y abriré así cuestiones dejadas en suspenso dentro de su pensamiento, que también hacen parte de un registro más experimental y existencial: memoria, estrategia y potencia. How does Jacques Rancière construct a democratic approach to politics through his critique of Marxism as a “metapolitics”? I will develop the hypothesis that Rancière reconfigures the Marxist political subject by disconnecting it from its metapolitics, searching to think it rather in terms of improper excess, untimeliness and the force to forget. I will then define how Rancière rethinks the concepts of time and knowledge, opening questions left in suspense in his thought on memory, strategy and power – questions that might belong to a more experimental and existential register. I will develop these questions through a study on the black movement in 1955-56 in Montgomery, Alabama.
